Lull'd by the moonlight have all pass'd away!

Remember

Terancam Dicoret, Irfan Pilih Bertahan

MALANG : Kedatangan Irfan Bachdim disambut antusias rekan-rekan setimnya di Persema di Malang, Jawa Timur, Selasa (4-1).
Dalam jumpa pers bersama sejumlah pengurus klub, Irfan mengumumkan keputusannya untuk bertahan di Persema. Pemain naturalisasi lainnya, Kim Jeffrey Kurniawan juga memastikan bertahan di Persema.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Ketua Umum Persema Malang Peni Suparto sekaligus memastikan timnya akan berlaga di pentas Liga Primer Indonesia (LPI). Kendatipun akibatnya Persema dicoret dari Persatuan Seluruh Sepakbola Indonesia atau PSSI.
LPI yang digagas pengusaha Arifin Panigoro akan mulai digelar pada 8 Januari mendatang. Ketua Umum PSSI Nurdin Halid tak mengakui LPI. Ia menegaskan klub yang bergabung di LPI akan dicoret dari PSSI.
"Klub dan pemain yang ikut dalam klub bersangkutan harus dihukum," tegas Nurdin.
PSSI merujuk pasal 51 ayat 2 Undang-undang tentang Sistem Keolahragaan Nasional. Penyelenggara kejuaraan olahraga yang mendatangkan langsung massa penonton wajib mendapatkan rekomendasi dari induk organisasi cabang olahraga bersangkutan. Serta, memenuhi peraturan perundang-undangan.
Kendati demikian, pihak Markas Besar Polri memastikan gelaran Liga Primer Indonesia bukanlah tindak pidana dan tidak melanggar hukum seperti diadukan PSSI. Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga Andi Malarangeng juga menyambut baik pelaksanaan LPI ini.
"Bagi saya semakin banyak kompetisi dan semakin banyak orang bermain sepakbola semakin baik. Tapi juga harus ada komunikasi. PSSI juga harus terbuka untuk gagasan-gagasan yang baru dari masyarakat," tutur Andi.
Antuasiasme publik terhadap sepakbola nasional tentu harus jadi momentum bagi PSSI untuk menyambut siapa pun yang akan memajukan olahraga paling populer di Tanah Air ini. Dengan demikian, tim Garuda tetap disegani kesebelasan negara lain.(YNI/L-1)
